Bunnies, Tangles and Paintings!

April 15, 2016 by Angie 4 Comments

bunnies

So my awesome sister was down a couple of weeks ago and you know what happens when she’s here right?  Massive Craft Week! We made crocheted bunnies, drew some tangles, and Amy painted the cutest little bird painting ever!!!  I like crafting by myself, but I love crafting with my sis.  It’s so much more fun to craft with friends and family.

These are our adorable bunnies we crocheted. They’re based off of a tutorial I found where the artist actually knitted the bunny, but I don’t know how to knit (shocking, I know!) so crochet it was.

They actually start out as a simple square and then are sewn and pulled together to form their shape.  Here is the original post by Jo So and Sew that does a fantastic job explaining how to make these little bunnies with lots of pictures.  They were easy, really!

Here’s a couple more pics.

more and more bunnies!

Okay, enough with the bunnies, but aren’t they so darn cute?

Next we did ourselves some tangles, I love these things!

Here is Amy’s, I’m showing before and after colored so you can see what they looked like both ways.

Do you like to do tangles?  Never done them before?  Let me encourage you to try them, they’re so fun and relaxing!  Want to learn how?  I have a great board on Pinterest called Doodles, Tangles and Random Scribbles that is chocked full of tutorials and ideas.

Here is Amy’s totally precious painting of the mommy and baby bird.  Isn’t it just too cute?  She followed a fantastic tutorial on Youtube by Cinnamon Cooney aka The Art Sherpa.  She is so funny and full of energy that she could be watched for sheer pleasure.  Her tutorials are in real time too, none of that sped up stuff that leaves you wondering what to do next.

So that was our week of crafting. I had so much fun and I miss you already Amy!

What is your favorite craft? Have questions or comments? Leave me a comment below, I would love to hear from you.

Thanks!
Angie
