My silly cats…
I was in the garden yesterday pruning my purple salvia and the cats were supervising, of course. Smudgy kept swatting at bees trying to perch on the flowers for little nectar. Poor bees, they didn’t have a chance. I was rattling and cutting their flowers on one side, and they were getting attacked by white furry beasts on the other. Well, at least I was trying to help! Naughty kitties.
I can’t help but love my wonderful little fluff balls, though. They keep me entertained with their shenanigans and when they look up at me with their precious green eyes that say “love me” I just melt all over again. If you think cats can’t speak, you haven’t looked in their eyes long enough. Smudgy can break hearts the way he pinches up his little nose and gazes at me imploringly when he wants to be petted. And cotton, well I don’t even have to move my hand, he just pets himself. I start by scratching under one side of his neck, and he works his head all the way around to the other side making sure I don’t miss any spots.
I’ve had to figure out how to pet them both at once and they know if you aren’t paying enough attention to them too. One will walk over in front of the other and smack him in the face with his tail as if to say “I’m her favorite, not you!”.
But I digress, I could spend way too much time talking about my silly cats…
Have a great day!

Angie,
I sure do enjoy all your posts. Smudgy and Cotton are lovable cats, and I don’t blame you for doting on them. They are especially cute playing in your beautiful garden!
