In today’s post, I’ve got some free vintage clipart for y’all, yay!
Tenaha and I went to an antique store this past Sunday and I found this adorable children’s book from 1892 called Little Bright Eyes. The binding on the poor thing has rotted off and the pages are the color of a paper bag, but the drawings in the book were so cute, I bought it anyway.
The photo above is the front cover of the book, isn’t is precious?
Here is the back cover, I think this would be a wonderful Christmas card image.
Later I’ll try to upload some of the drawings from the book if I can clean them up enough to use.
But wait, there’s more…
When I opened the book, to my surprise, I got a bonus! There was a paper doll with matching outfits stuffed inside the pages along with cutouts of different chairs, dishes and furniture. I’ll tell you one thing, somebody much more patient than myself cut out those chairs. All the tiny little corners, it must have take hours! But I guess when there’s not internet and TV to waste all of our time, cutting out paper might just be the highlight of the day. I can imagine a little girl dressing up her doll and sitting down to tea with her little cutout wicker chairs and tea set. So cute!
Anyway, I made some clipart with the paper doll and cutouts of chairs and dishes. Here they are! As above, click on the photo to take you to a full size image on another page that you can save and print.
I know there’s a lot of super creative people out there that can do really cool stuff with clipart. What is your favorite clipart? What projects do you use clipart in? Let me know in the comments below, I would LOVE to hear from you!
Thanks!
Angie

The book cover is adorable. I love that old style, and the paper doll cutouts are unbelieveable, especially the intricacy of the chairs. That book is an awesome relic of the past!
